I’m an award-winning Principal Interior Designer, author, and film production designer with a passion for creating spaces and experiences that leave an impact. As the CEO and Founder of NyRai Interior Designs, Black Design Magazine, and Noir by NyRai, I bring together design, storytelling, entrepreneurship, and creativity in everything I do.
My work and expertise have been recognized by Ebony, Essence, Business of Home, Forbes, FOX 5 DC, iHeartRadio, Pandora, The Elegant Journal, Medium, and Shoutout Atlanta. I’ve walked the red carpet for events including Essence Magazine and been featured on the Billboard in Times Square. I was also honored to serve as the Featured Principal Designer for the CIAA x Lowe’s collaborative event showcasing the Origin 21 collection.

I founded NyRai Interior Designs in 2016 with a simple belief: beautiful design should be more than something you see it should be something you experience. I create timeless residential and commercial interiors that balance creativity, functionality, quality, and the unique vision of every client.
I’m equally passionate about home organization and decluttering because I believe our physical environments can influence how we think, work, and feel. Through intentional design and organization, I help individuals and organizations create spaces that reduce distractions, increase productivity, and make room for what matters most.

My career has always been rooted in relationships, creativity, and creating meaningful experiences. Before becoming an interior designer, I was a wedding planner with Exquisite Weddings by Simone, where I learned how to translate a client’s vision into highly personalized experiences.
I’m passionate about empowering women and creating spaces where people can thrive. As the former Vice President of the Washington, DC chapter of United Women in Business, I championed mentorship, professional development, diversity, and leadership. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and an entrepreneurial spirit, I bring strategy and creativity together to help my clients move from where they are to the best version of their vision.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mother who loves spending time with my daughters, traveling the world, shopping, and finding inspiration everywhere I go.
